We are loving how the Wafa is coming together. Can't wait to roll out some pie dough on the concrete counters!

flatwork

Alex helped with the backyard today. His smile was huge! Ivan stayed in the car, "scary bulldozer".

The cement truck comes tomorrow and Ivan loves cement trucks, so we'll see what happens.

colors

The dining room, office, great room ceiling and kitchen. It is really coming together. We are loving the way the grays made it so bright and open. The tile and countertops come next week.

The boxes in the walls are in Al's room. His bed will go between them. He wants his room black and grey.

The bookshelves are in the office. Eventually, we'll put a small sofa between the two and a mirror above. The sconces will come out of the sides of the shelves.

It is starting to come together.

Paint begins Monday.

After changing our minds again, we now have two islands. If we had one big island, we would have had a very visible seam down the middle of the countertop.

I'm loving the stone and the brick around the front door. The boys had fun climbing and rolling down the dirt hill. I included a picture of the new school being built. You can see it from our house.

Also, just had to include this picture of Ivan. On our way to bed we checked on the boys. Ivan wasn't in his bed, we couldn't find him anywhere. Finally started opening doors, closets etc... He had shut himself in his closet to sleep. He said it was the wind. Smart boy, lock yourself in the closet so you don't have to hear the windows rattle!

We've got cabinets, drywall and hardwoods. Things are moving really fast.

Exterior

Can't wait to see the brick on the front porch and the red front door. We are meeting with our cabinet guy tomorrow and the trim carpenter next week. Yikes, now we have to get our house ready to sell.
